About Senator Fraise

Senator Gene Fraise is serving his seventh term in the Iowa Senate.  He represents Senate District 46, which includes Henry and Lee counties.

Fraise, a farmer, is a member of the Lee County Pork Producers, the Farm Bureau, and the Iowa Corn Growers Association.  He spent seven years on the Lee County Board of Supervisors and served as its chairman in 1985.   

Senator Fraise has received numerous awards and recognitions from law enforcement, corrections and other service organizations for his efforts to make Iowa a better, safer place to live, work and raise a family.

Senator Fraise and his wife, Faye, recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, and he and his wife attend St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point, Iowa.  They have three sons and 14 grandchildren; their one daughter passed away in 2006.
